Ronan Byrne, Shandon’s first Olympian oarsman received a warm and heart-felt welcome back to the club from members, family and friends.   Ronan, who was also a silver medalist in the 2020 World Rowing Championships, has been a member of the club since he was 12 years age and given his dedication, ambition and personality is a perfect role model for all our young (and not so young) rowing members.   The club is hugely proud of his achievements.

The photograph shows his entry to the club accompanied by Club President, Tom Rose through a tunnel of oars held by his proud clubmates.
